Sign Policy

Great Parks bylaw § 132.13 prohibits the placement of signage without specific written permission from the Chief Executive Officer, in most cases. An exception is granted for placement of political signs at approved polling locations which are within Great Parks. This exception applies only to the area permitted by law, must be placed no earlier than 12 hours prior to polls opening on the day of the election, must be removed no later than 12 hours after polls close, and may only be placed within a designated area. Any signage found outside the designated area will be removed by staff and can be recovered within 24 hours after the close of the polling place. Signs not recovered within 24 hours of polls closing on election day will be discarded.
