A contractor will be planting wetland plugs from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 7-28
- May 7 – 20: Site access will occur from the Kemper Road trail crossing; a truck and trailer will be staged in the Kemper Road parking lot and a UTV may be parked overnight
- May 21- 28: Site access will occur from the Sharon Knoll gate; a truck and trailer may be staged at the boat ramp and a UTV parked in the Kemper Road parking lot overnight
No trail closures are expected but trail users can expect a UTV infrequently traveling along the northern half of the trail.

Beginning summer 2026, boat rentals (single kayaks, tandem kayaks, canoes and pedalboats) are available at a temporary boathouse at Lakeside Lodge, 4661 Kemper Road. This temporary location is open seasonally for the duration of the Sharon Woods Harbor Revitalization project.
Great Parks' founding destination.
Inspired by established county park systems, former Cincinnati Mayor Murray Seasongood led the movement for Great Parks' founding in 1930, then known as the Hamilton County Park Board. Plans to acquire large tracts of land soon followed, and by 1932, Sharon Woods opened to the public as Great Parks' first official destination. Boasting a rich geological history and wide-ranging recreational opportunities, it remains a generational fixture in the lives of Greater Cincinnatians.
