Boat and Bike Rental Guidelines

Policies

Safety

  • Do not stand up or sit on edge of any boat.
  • All loading and unloading must be done at the dock, except in emergency situations. Wait for assistance from the boathouse attendant before attempting to enter or exit your boat.
  • Bumping, tying or ramming of boats is not permitted.
  • Maintain a safe distance of at least 50 feet from the shore and other boats.
  • Never attempt to get out of your boat should you get stuck in shallow water or caught on an obstruction.

Restrictions

  • Swimming is not permitted.
  • Lawn chairs are not permitted on board.
  • Pets are permitted on pontoon boats only.
  • Canoe, kayak and paddleboard rental season begins April 15.
  • Do not enter restricted areas of the lake indicated by signs, buoys or cables.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds due to inclement weather will not be issued.
  • Any guests violating the guidelines or operating their equipment in a reckless or dangerous manner may be called in immediately without a refund of fees.
  • All Great Parks by-laws and regulations apply to the harbor area. Great Parks Rangers may terminate the rental or remove individuals with no refund or credit at their sole discretion. Profanity and loud or abusive behavior is prohibited. Conduct that could endanger the welfare of others or infringe on other’s enjoyment will not be allowed.
