Great Parks Rangers welcomes neighbors, park guests and other first responders to a fun celebration of community at National Night Out, from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, at Winton Woods Harbor.

National Night Out is a national community-building campaign that promotes residents’ partnerships with first responders and local agencies. One of the outcomes of the event is to bring together these agencies and neighbors under positive circumstances. Great Parks Rangers celebrate National Night Out each summer, and millions of people participate in events throughout the country.

Great Parks Rangers will be joined by agencies including the FBI, SWAT team, Urban Search & Rescue, K-9 units and others. Agencies will bring their emergency vehicles and equipment, while also explaining to guests what they do and each department’s role in ensuring public safety.

Games and music will be underway around the harbor. Fifty West Brewing is the dinner sponsor for National Night Out and will provide free burgers and fries while supplies last.

There is no charge to attend National Night Out. Great Parks Motor Vehicle Permit requirements are waived during event hours.
