Winton Woods Farm & Equestrian Center

Bring your own horse, or head out to Winton Woods Farm & Equestrian Center for year-round riding programs to develop your confidence and skills both on and off the horse. At the Farm & Equestrian Center, riders of all skill levels can experience expert-led lessons, horse shows, camps, trail rides and other specialized programs. Located in the heart of Winton Woods, this 100-acre destination is packed with family-friendly fun and equine adventure.

New this year: The Fairy Tale Festival is expanding to two days and entry times are scheduled every two hours during operation.

We kindly ask guests to arrive within 30 minutes of the selected entry time printed on their purchase confirmation. Tickets must be purchased online in advance of your arrival. On-site tickets will not be sold for this event.

Join us for this whimsical, wild weekend of family-friendly fun! While we adore furry friends, please leave your dogs at home as they are not permitted at Highfield Discovery Garden.

River Hill Pond at Mitchell Memorial Forest offers catch-and-release bank fishing. No license is required.

Lake Isabella

Stocked weekly from March through October. Fish from the bank, dock, a rental boat or your personal canoe or kayak on Tuesdays. Purchase a fishing ticket at the boathouse. State fishing license not required.

Campbell Lakes

Campbell Lakes has four lakes for fishing by car-top boat (such as canoes, kayaks, and jon boats) or from the bank. Motors are not allowed. An Ohio State Fishing License is required. Ohio fishing regulations must be followed at all times.

Miami Whitewater Forest

Stocked each summer with channel catfish, Miami Whitewater Forest permits anglers to fish from the lake's bank, a rental boat or their personal canoe or kayak. A state fishing license is required.

Lake Isabella Harbor

Cast a line from the shore, dock or a rental rowboat. The on-site boathouse is fully equipped with bait, tackle and gear, along with daily and seasonal passes. Stocked weekly from March through October, the pay lake offers a relaxed setting without an Ohio Fishing License requirement, making for an easygoing day on the water.

Great Parks will collaborate with you to understand your team’s needs, interests and goals after booking your reservation. Based on this information, the team designs a custom experience to best meet your specific requirements and objectives. 

Please refer to the Great Parks of Hamilton County Private Drone Policy and  Commercial Drone Policy for bylaws and guidelines. All requests must be approved with written permission by the Great Parks Chief Executive Officer prior to drone usage.

Alms Park, Ault Park, Burnett Woods, Caldwell Park, California Woods, Eden Park, French Park, LaBoiteaux Woods, Lytle Park, Madison Park, Mt. Airy Forest, Mt. Echo, Mt. Storm and Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park are some of the parks operated by the Cincinnati Park Board. For more information on these and a complete list of all their parks, visit the Cincinnati Parks website.

Ohio State Parks in our area include Caesar Creek, East Fork and Hueston Woods. For more information on Ohio State Parks, visit the Ohio Department of Natural Resources website.

First, be sure the animal is injured or abandoned. Some species of animals only tend to their young incrementally during the day and depend on the camouflage of the nest to protect them. For information on orphaned or injured wild animals native to Ohio and their species and habitats, please visit the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife’s website.

ODNR provides lists of Nuisance Wild Animal Control Operators and Wildlife Rehabbers. You may also report poaching issues via ODNR's website or contact the local ODNR Officer by calling the Xenia office at 937-372-9261. For injured birds of prey, contact Raptor Inc. at 513-825-3325.

Banquet rooms may be reserved two years in advance by calling Guest Relations at 513-521-7275.

Armed forces activity discounts are available to all active service members, military retirees and veterans. Family members and dependents are not eligible. A valid photo ID is required at the time of purchase. Acceptable identification may include a Uniformed Services ID card or Ohio Driver’s License/ID card with an armed forces designation. Some restrictions apply. 

Armed forces discounts currently include:

  • Discounted greens fees at all Great Parks of Hamilton County Golf Courses (valid for play Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays)
  • Free Motor Vehicle Permits (restrictions apply)
  • All-day rowboat rental for the cost of one hour at Miami Whitewater Forest, Winton Woods, and Sharon Woods (valid Monday through Friday, excluding holidays)
  • Discounted campsite rental rates at Miami Whitewater Forest or Winton Woods Campground (valid Sunday through Thursday nights, excluding holidays – discount not available online)
  • $10.50 daily fishing ticket at Lake Isabella (valid Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays)
