DESCRIPTION:Volunteer for our upcoming E-Waste Collection Event at Woodland Mound!\n\nDisposing of electronic waste (e-waste) in a landfill can result in the leaching of toxic chemicals such as flame retardants and heavy metals into watersheds and wildlife areas. Great Parks is striving toward our sustainability goals by collaborating with Cohen Recycling and offering this sustainability-focused service to the local community. E-waste\, such as outdated or inoperable laptops\, televisions and cell phones\, is the fastest-growing source of waste in the world. With the U.S. in the lead as the biggest producer of e-waste\, we hope to provide Hamilton County residents the opportunity to dispose of their e-waste properly and easily!\n\nAs a volunteer at the event\, you will pick up items from participants’ vehicles and place the items into the appropriate bins for recycling or proper and safe disposal by Cohen Recycling.
